- Permanent settlement is the real goal — The UK route to settlement runs through employer sponsorship and salary thresholds. Canada's published pathways are more developed and less dependent on one employer.
- You need to work substantial hours — 20 hours per week is the lowest of the four. If your plan depends on part-time earnings, the maths is tighter here than anywhere else.

Why is the UK cheaper than Australia or Canada for a master's?
Because a UK taught master's normally takes one year rather than two. You pay one year of tuition and one year of living costs instead of two of each.

What is the 28-day rule and why do so many applications fail it?

Applications fail when the balance dips even briefly, when money is moved between accounts during the window, or when the bank letter omits required details. It is a technical rule, and it refuses more Nepali applicants than weak academics do.
Can I bring my wife or husband with me to the UK?
In most cases no longer, if you are on a taught master's. Dependant rights were restricted and now apply mainly to research programmes and certain funded courses.
